Any type of exercise is good for you, that itself is reason to get out there. But there is an app for iPhones and Androids that lets you share the love with others. The app is Charity Miles. It is a free download. The people at Charity Miles have partnered with some large corporations and charities. For every mile you walk/run/bike the corporation gives money to the charity of your choice. Some of the charities are Habitat for Humanity, APSCA, Alzheimer’s Association, Feeding America, World Wildlife Fund, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and many others.
Typically, I have two charities that I run for. Since I am a huge animal lover, I run for APSCA. My sweet dad had Parkinson’s so I also run for The Michael J. Fox Foundation which is working to find a cure for Parkinson’s.
Last year I raised nearly $500 for charity. And it didn’t cost me a dime. I encourage you to use the app. Every little bit matters and helps.
